What we do
How we help
Story Gathering & Recording
We believe that every person carries a universe of stories — lessons, laughter, love, and lived experience.
Our team gently guides elders through comfortable, conversational sessions where memories flow naturally. Each story is recorded in high-quality audio or video, preserving tone, emotion, and authenticity.
We provide pre-session prompts, coaching, and technical support so storytellers feel at ease. Every recording is archived securely, catalogued with keywords for family access, and can be shared through personal QR codes or memorial pages.
Goal: To honour every storyteller by ensuring their voice, wisdom, and legacy are never lost.
Community Outreach & Workshops
Beyond storytelling sessions, we actively engage with communities through partnerships with schools, libraries, museums, and cultural centres.
Our workshops teach both youth and adults the art of listening — how to ask meaningful questions, preserve oral histories, and build empathy across generations.
We host “Story Days” in classrooms, intergenerational recording events, and training programs for volunteers and family historians who want to learn digital storytelling skills.
Goal: To empower communities to become their own storykeepers — bridging generations through curiosity, respect, and shared memory.
Family & Intergenerational Programs
Sage Stories fosters connections that strengthen families and communities. Through our Story Circles, families gather to share memories, discuss life lessons, and discover the stories that shaped them.
Our digital events — such as “Generations Connect” evenings and Family Legacy Weekends — encourage youth to interview their grandparents, turning family conversations into treasured keepsakes.
We also collaborate with caregivers and retirement homes to support elders in recording their stories, creating continuity between those who remember and those who will carry their memories forward.
Goal: To turn storytelling into a bridge — nurturing empathy, belonging, and understanding across generations.
